A big week for WiiWare this week, a ton of new games have been announced for the service, and most of them look to be bringing some pretty strong content. Bubble Bobble, Rainbow Islands, Boingz and Cave Story -- 2D platform / puzzle titles that I can really get into.

Xbox Live Arcade

MLB Stickball On Xbox Live Arcade This Week
This week, Take2 are expanding their Baseball lineup with MLB Stickball, the first sports title in some time for the XBLA. Looks like it might be a bit of fun.

Void Star Creations Present - Project 2
The people behind the hit XBLA title Poker Smash are hard at work on a new title, which hasn't got a name yet. It will involve a big world to explore, fast-paced melee and ranged combat, loot, RPG elements, and treasure hunting. They've got a new blog and are being very open with sharing every little thing they're doing. Fascinating stuff.

New Vigilante 8 Arcade Trailer - Start Shooting On November 5th
Vigilante 8 is done, and Isopod Labs have a new trailer with the first real gameplay of the title. They've announced a date too. It's on the same week as Gears of War 2 though.. hopefully it does well.

PSN Store Update: Geon Now Available, PixelJunk Soundtracks Up For Sale
No games in North America, but Europe did get Geon, the game they missed out on last week. However, everyone can now download the PixelJunk Eden soundtrack!

Battle Cars Set For A NA Release Next Week
This Thursday, PSN owners should be able to download Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars to their PSN accounts.

Bomberman Live Coming To PSN As Bomberman Ultra
Bomberman is making its way to the PlayStation Network sometime this year -- an expansion on Bomberman Live on the Xbox Live Arcade, this version might include a few extra features. A great addition to the PSN.


NA WiiWare Update - Midnight Bowling And MadStone Now Available For Download
This week's WiiWare update in North America includes Midnight Bowling, a new game by Gameloft, bringing in a single player mode and multiplayer bowling games, and MadStone, an odd puzzle game featuring mad stones.

Nintendo Reveal WiiWare Lineup -- Bubble Bobble,Rainbow Islands, And More Coming To WiiWare
Nintendo of Japan released a huge list of upcoming WiiWare titles, many previously unannounced, but a lot of them do look like they'll work on the strength of the Wii. A new Bubble Bobble and Rainbow Islands title? Yum.

More On Boingz From NinjaBee
Announced this week was Boingz for WiiWare -- an adventure puzzle game featuring little blob creatures that you must fling around with the cursor. Looks interesting.

New Cave Story Media - Fact Sheet, Video Released
Cave Story has finally been announced for WiiWare, and it has been a long time coming. This well known indie darling will be making its way to the console sometime this year.
