French publisherUbisoft has confirmed Ghost Recon 4 will release during its next fiscal year, one of seven franchised titles slated during the period.

The news follows the publishers positive financial results yesterday, in which revenues were seen to rise by 14 percent over the last 12 months. The company's already promised new entries in the successful Shaun White Snowboarding franchise, and announced a Christmas release window for the Xbox 360 version of the long-delayed Splinter Cell: Conviction.

Also hidden away in a list of titles for the 2009-10 financial year is the first mention so far of a new Ghost Recon title. The game is listed as Ghost Recon 4, with no further details currently available.

A new title would actually be the fifth game (not including expansion packs) in the popular series of Tom Clancy-branded tactical shooters, following the original two Ghost Recon titles and the subsequent two Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter games.

Ubisoft is targeting sales of around 1,100 million ($1,458m) for its next financial year, with seven franchise titles planned during the period: Assassin's Creed II, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Rabbids Go Home, Red Steel 2, Anno 1404, and the new Ghost Recon title.

The name of the seventh franchised title was not specified. Other franchises due to continue over the next twelve months include new releases in the successful Petz, Imagine and MyCoach series for Nintendo DS and Wii.

Also planned for the same period are four licensed games: James Cameron's Avatar, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and Arthur and the Invisibles.

Three new brands will also launch during the next financial year, namely R.U.S.E., I Am Alive, and a new sports game for the Wii.
