Photon Network Engine Integrated With Marmalade

Exit Games' network engine and socket-server Photon has been integrated with cross-platform SDK Marmalade, the companies jointly announced this week.

Photon allows for the development of realtime multiplayer games on a number of platforms. It has a C/C++-based core and a reliable UDP for scalable online games. Its integration with Marmalade will allow it to run on systems that include iOS, Android, Symbian, Bada and WebOS.

"Photon provides stunning performance whilst being easy-to-use which makes it a perfect fit with Marmalade," said Marmalade CTO Tim Closs.

"Its an ideal combination for the development of multi-user online applications," he continued.
