[In this weekly column, Gamasutra rounds up the most popular paid and free gaming applications on Google Play as of today, with Grand Theft Auto III, Basketball Shoot, and Logo Quiz currently ranking among the platform's top downloads.]

This week's top paid titles are:

1. Draw Something (OMGPOP, $0.99)
2. Angry Birds Space Premium (Rovio, $0.99)
3. Cut the Rope (ZeptoLab, $0.99)
4. Where's My Water? (Disney, $0.99)
5. Minecraft: Pocket Edition (Mojang, $6.99)
6. Fruit Ninja (Halfbrick, $1.26)
7. Osmos HD (Hemisphere Games, $2.99)
8. Cut the Rope: Experiments (ZeptoLab, $0.99)
9. Grand Theft Auto III (Rockstar, $4.99)
10. Doodle Jump (Lima Sky, $0.99)

For the sixth week in a row, Draw Something, Angry Birds Space, and Cut the Rope lead Google Play's app sales charts, despite fierce competition from Where's My Water? and Minecraft: Pocket Edition.

Fruit Ninja and Osmos HD follow at sixth and seventh place, as Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto III returns to the charts ahead of Doodle Jump at ninth.

Here are this week's top free Android game applications:

1. Angry Birds Space (Rovio)
2. Basketball Shoot (Runnergames)
3. Logo Quiz (J-Roen)
4. Temple Run (Imangi)
5. Draw Something Free (OMGPOP)
6. Angry Birds (Rovio)
7. Fruit Ninja Free (Halfbrick)
8. BMX Boy (Runnergames)
9. Words With Friends Free (Newtoy)
10. Gold Miner (Candy Mobile)

Runnergames earns a pair of chart spots this week with its recently updated trick shot sim Basketball Shoot and stunt biking game BMX Boy, while Angry Birds Space remains Google Play's most popular free app overall.

J-Roen's Logo Quiz finishes third in today's results, while Imangi's Temple Run overtakes Draw Something Free to earn fourth place.
