The Experimental Gameplay Session celebrates its tenth year, having developers show off their most curious approaches to interactivity, given in this free video lecture from GDC 2012 courtesy of the GDC Vault.

A few demos in this session include Daniel Benmergui's story-building puzzle game Storyteller, Steve Swink's size-changing Scale, Vlambeer's increasingly glitched to the point of death Glitchhiker, and Anna Anthropy's uniting multiplayer experience Keep Me Occupied which went inside a moving arcade for the Occupy Oakland march.

Overview: The Experimental Gameplay Session is back for its 10-year anniversary at GDC!

In this fast-paced, game-packed session we will showcase a selection of surprising and intriguing prototypes made by innovation-minded game developers from all over the world. By demonstrating games that defying conventions and traditions in search for of new genres and ideas, this session aims to ignite the imagination of all game makers. Many games debuted at this session have enjoyed critical and commercial success- including Katamari Damacy, flOw, Braid, Portal, World of Goo and Today I Die. Come see what's happening on in the world of Experimental Gameplay and be inspired!

About the GDC Vault
