Newsbrief: The Chinese Room co-founder Dan Pinchbeck, who set up the Brighton-based indie outfit with composer Jessica Curry, took home the award for Best Writing in a Video Game at last night's Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Awards.
Pinchbeck was honored for his work on post-apocalyptic mystery title, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, a spiritual successor to the studio's debut effort, Dear Esther.
Up against Pinchbeck were Sunless Sea writers Alexis Kennedy, Richard Cobbett, Amal El-Mohtar, Chris Gardiner, Meg Jayanth and Emily Short, as well as Her Story wordsmith, Sam Barlow.
