As games become a prevalent pastime for older adults, how could/should VR games be developed for them?

That was the topic Miami University's Bob De Schutter dug into at GDC 2017, where he drew from his own and third party research with older players to discuss the potential of VR technology to entertain older audiences.

As well as its usability and content challenges, De Schutter offered devs a suggested set of practical design guidelines that challenge stereotypical views on the older audience of digital games, potentially opening up new avenues of design and revenue.
