News is spreading today that Robert Guillaume, the Emmy Award-winning actor who spent 50+ years performing in films, television, plays, and the occasional video game, has passed away at the age of 89.

Variety reports that Guillaume passed away at home in L.A. from complications related to prostate cancer, and details his career playing famous characters like Rafiki ("The Lion King"), Benson du Bois ("Soap", "Benson"), and Isaac Jaffe ("Sports Night").
