[In this weekly feature, Gamasutra rounds up the week's most popular paid and free iPhone and iPod Touch games, as current on the iTunes App Store.]

This week's top paid iPhone game titles on the App Store, as captured on August 15th 2011, are as follows:

1. Angry Birds ($0.99)
2. Fruit Ninja ($0.99)
3. Cut the Rope: Experiments ($0.99)
4. Angry Birds Rio ($0.99)
5. Zombie Gunship ($0.99)
6. Tiny Wings ($0.99)
7. Cut the Rope ($0.99)
8. Angry Birds Seasons ($0.99)
9. Cover Orange ($0.99)
10. Flick Soccer! ($0.99)

Rovio's Angry Birds climbs to the top of the iPhone's charts, overtaking last week's top seller Cut the Rope: Experiments. Halfbrick's Fruit Ninja also enjoys a surge in popularity this week following the recent console release of Fruit Ninja Kinect.

Angry Birds Rio and Zombie Gunship remain popular downloads at fourth and fifth place, as newcomers Cover Orange and Flick Soccer! edge into chart range at ninth and tenth.

3. Glass Tower 2
4. Extreme Fishing Free
5. Pet Petters
6. Cupcake+

A trial version of FDG's Cover Orange (retitled Too Addictive!) heads the free app charts, followed by Funzio's free-to-play sim title Crime City and iDevUA's recently released Glass Tower 2.

PNJ's Extreme Fishing Free claims fourth place in today's results, while Godzilab's iBlast Moki returns to the charts as anticipation builds for the upcoming iBlast Moki 2.
