Tira Wireless, a provider of mobile game middleware, has announced a new release of the Tira Jump Product Suite, technology that enables mobile game developers to more efficiently control priorities, resources and digital assets in the deployment of mobile content, making it easier to convert between multiple mobile phone formats.

Changes in this release are in the Jump Workflow Manager, which is now available in two different versions: one for Publishers and one for Software Services companies. The two versions carry distinct configurable workflows for the two different processes. Additionally, the Jump Workflow Manager can now also be used to manage the deployment of BREW games and applications, in addition to existing support for mobile Java.

Other new features in this release are the addition of two new modules: the Tira "Over the Air" Server, which facilitates the downloading of applications onto devices to speed testing; and the Tira Automated Verification Server, which is an integrated mobile Java testing tool that ensures that basic MIDP errors are detected prior to application adaptation and optimization.

The new release of the Tira Jump Product Suite also includes integrated and enhanced reporting, which provides project managers with an at-a-glance view of project status, and the ability to assess team productivity.

Further enhancements have also been made to the Jump Developer Desktop, which is a proprietary Eclipse desktop plug-in that porting engineers use to execute and optimize the adaptation of content. The JDD communicates with the Jump Transformation Engine, an XML-based rules engine that enables the creation and optimization of application builds for specific devices, languages and mobile operators.
