Press Release

December 19 th 2012: Gamagio in collaboration with Skybound and Skybound Asia announce the release of the first update to new iOS game “The Walking Dead: Assault” based on Robert Kirkman’s Eisner Award-winning comic series and best-selling graphic novels, “The Walking Dead”.

Since its launch just two weeks ago, The Walking Dead: Assault has become the #1 Strategy game in over thirteen countries including the US, UK, Canada, and Germany with a five star rating from nearly 5000 happy reviewers!

Since then we’ve been watching all the video reviews, reading all the forums, listening to all the comments, and today we have released a new update that covers the following...

Michonne is now available! This sword-wielding fan favourite can now be added to your team; her special move slices & dices all zombies around her and whilst she’s on your team everyone benefits from making less noise

New alternate control scheme! You asked for it, we listened! We’ve added a new toggle that allows you to invert the movement controls allowing you to now double-tap to move the entire team and hold to move a single survivor

New rewards for professional zombie slayers! Complete the game on Hard and Brutal difficulty for additional rewards, plus a new special achievement for particularly enthused zombie killers!

Many audio/visual/UI/bug fixes! Audio enhancements for iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Mini, iPhone 4S, and iPhone 5. More variety in the zombie sound effects, a new indicator on the Chapter Selection screen showing progress towards completing Bonus Objectives, and bug fixes for any incorrect Game Center Achievements (eg.. “Running Man”)

Thank you to all the fans and players that have given feedback so far!

The Walking Dead: Assault is a Universal App allowing a one-time purchase to run on all of the purchaser's Apple mobile devices and is available for just £1.99.

Download The Walking Dead: Assault from iTunes today!

Coming soon! Future episodes include “Safety Behind Bars” and “Fear The Hunters” featuring key locations such as the Prison along with additional characters like Hershel, Tyreese, the Governor, and devastating new weapons such as Tear Gas, the semi-automatic Rifle, and the Flamethrower!
