3 January 2013, Singapore and Malaysia – Asiasoft Online ("Asiasoft") today announces the rescheduled start of the Open Beta Test period ("OBT") for the world's first English service of Ragnarok Online 2, which will serve players in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Developed by Gravity Co. and published by Asiasoft, this highly anticipated blockbuster free-to-play MMORPG was launched with great fanfare at this year's Licence2Play 2012 event on 7 th December 2012, marking the start of a wildly successful Closed Beta Test phase ("CBT") that lasted until 13 th December 2012.

With the launch of OBT, gamers in above mentioned countries can now enjoy Ragnarok Online 2 round the clock as the game servers will be fully opened for 24 hours a day. There will also be a plethora of in-game activities to enjoy, including the 24-Hour Cash Shop Opening Sale where players will be given free RO2Cash – the game credit required to purchase items - to purchase in-game cash shop items for use in their online adventures.

"First of all we would like to apologize that we had to delay the start of OBT, which was necessary in order to achieve our main objective of providing the most stable gaming experience to our users," said Mr Sherman Tan, Chairman of Asiasoft Online. "We have been working closely with Gravity Co. to resolve bugs and issues reported by players during CBT and have subsequently run many stress tests during the final days of December 2012 to ensure the stability of the new game servers we have invested into the game. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us during that period and we now welcome gamers to rejoin us in the magical world of Ragnarok Online 2."

As a token of appreciation to Ragnarok Online 2 players for their continuous support, Asiasoft Online will give 5,000 free RO2Cash to every player who has at least one Level 10 character in the game by 6th January 2013, 0259hrs (+8 GMT).

Additionally, each player who participated in Closed Beta Test or any of the Stress Test sessions held from 28 th to 31 st December 2012 will receive a special "Thank You Pack", which includes 5 Explorer’s Purple potion, 5 Remote Storage scroll, 1 Spinel and 2 Butterfly wings.
