Eschborn, June 21, 2013: Barely three weeks after the relaunch of Jagged Alliance Online on Steam, bitComposer Games, gamigo AG, and Cliffhanger Productions already have a proven record of success.

The recent relaunch of the game on Steam ushered Jagged Alliance Online directly into the top 5 most popular Steam DLCs in the free-to-play category, and even pulled ahead of some of the most recently launched MMOs. At the same time, the Steam launch paved the way for record profits on a monthly basis. The massive stampede of players onto the server is further evidence that gamers have really taken to Jagged Alliance Online . The Cliffhanger Productions team is already at work allocating extra capacity, and is engaged in intensive dialogue with players themselves – a service that many players especially value.

According to Wolfgang Duhr, Member of the Board of Directors of bitComposer Entertainment AG:

“We are really happy about the rapid success of Jagged Alliance Online and would like to congratulate the Cliffhanger team on the successful relaunch.”

The strategic reorientation of the game has already proven itself through a total overhaul of the monetization concept, which provides both paying and non-paying players an optimal game experience. According to Jan Wagner, Director of Cliffhanger Productions, “The Steam launch was a real challenge for us, and a total success. The enormous amount of feedback from the players has given us the incentive to build on this success and continue to improve Jagged Alliance Online.”

About Jagged Alliance Online

In Jagged Alliance Online , the player can undertake assignments all over the world in PvP battles or in missions in order to improve his or her team, get the best equipment, and put together the toughest squad of mercenaries in the world. The new 3D graphics, the tried and true Jagged Alliance game mechanics for tactical turn-based battles, over 40 mercenaries, and over 500 different weapons and other equipment make Jagged Alliance Online the best that turn-based strategy has to offer.

All players can battle others in challenging PvP duels or work together with their alliances to conquer warzones in PvE. Jagged Alliance Online also includes an optional CAMPAIGN PACK, which allows players to immerse themselves in a high quality single player world, experiencing dozens of challenging missions across the globe. The CAMPAIGN PACK works like a normal download game: buy it once, and play it forever with no further purchase necessary.   The entire game is available ‘fair to play’ on Steam. This means that every piece of equipment in the game can be attained just by playing, without in-game premium currency: everything can be found or earned in-game. The mercenary squad is of course fully operational in both game modes!
