February 17 th 2014

Thanks to popular demand GamesAid’s brand new patron, Imran Yusuf, is organising a fundraiser for 2014: the second annual Stand Up for GamesAid.  The event will again take place at London’s world famous Comedy Store on Monday April 14 th.

Last year’s packed Leicester Square event proved to be a huge fundraising success for GamesAid, as well as a great addition to the game’s industry’s social calendar and this year is set to be even better.

Imran has been busy drawing together a top line up for the night, which we’ll reveal at a later date.

Imran Yusuf (Best Newcomer nominee at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2010), will emcee the entire night. He began his career in the games industry working for the likes of Midway Games, Eidos and SEGA Europe before departing for the bright lights of showbiz with appearances on The Now Show, The News Quiz and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow.

Tickets are due to go on sale on the Comedy Store’s website from midday on Monday 17 th February, they will cost £12.50 per person*.

All money raised will go direct to GamesAid which supports charities for disabled and disadvantaged young people and children in the UK, so it’s comedy to soothe your social conscience too.

Currently GamesAid are looking for sponsors to support the project - if this interests you please contact one of the trustees via

It’s going to sell out and be packed so it’s a great chance for the sponsors to get in front of a real mix of industry types.
