As well as the teaser, which shows the game in motion for the first time, there are also a number of new screenshots up for grabs, which demonstrate a little more of the game's dark, mysterious open-world.
Death in Candlewood was originally developed by the Rosebud team as a side project alongside their other game development jobs, but as the game grew and became more and more rich, the devs turned to Kickstarter to crowdfund the final stages. The campaign has just over one week left to go, and could really use some support. Check out the Kickstarter page for character designs, environments, music and updates.
"The Kickstarter campaign has been challenging," said producer Toni Sanchez, "but we really believe in Death in Candlewood and want to make it something special. If anyone else agrees, we'd love them forever if they could chip in and help us make this dream a reality."
Death in Candlewood is already well into production and requires $60,000 to add the finishing touches. Visit the Kickstarter page for more info: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1012709089/death-in-candlewood
About Death in Candlewood
Death in Candlewood is an open-world psychological FPS heavily influenced by the gothic fiction of Edgar Allan Poe and classic horror films. The game plunges its player into the darkest corners of 1940s America and spans a single night in the life of Ray Dune, a doctor whose relationship with reclusive psychiatrist Lester Caravan has reached a deadly crisis point. When his vulnerable adopted son Rizzo mysteriously disappears, Dune is forced to act. Navigating the dark paths of Candlewood Mountains and a terrifying onslaught of inhuman assailants, Dune sets out on a desperate bid to save himself and his son from the bloody machinations of a madman.
