About Green Man Gaming and Playfire

Launched on May 10th 2010, Green Man Gaming started with a small catalogue of just 500 games from 26 publishers and a mission to always offer more than just a sale. By 2014, Green Man Gaming's catalogue had grown to over 5000 titles from over 350 official publishing partners and is still growing.

Green Man Gaming have direct contracts as an official, approved retail partner with every publisher / developer that has a game listed on its site, so customers can buy with confidence.

In July 2012, Green Man Gaming acquired  Playfire, a huge and vibrant global social network of core gamers. This service allows consumers to automatically track their in-game achievements, trophies and gameplay, as well as follow other gamers’ achievements and conversations about the games they love. With its new  Playfire Rewards BETA program, Green Man Gaming is incentivising gameplay and encouraging new users to earn their way to new games and content by offering credit to spend on anything on the Green Man Gaming store. To date, Green Man Gaming has given out over one million rewards, which change daily (details of which can be found on the  Playfire Blog).

Listed in the  SVC2UK top 100 companies with the potential to reach £100m in revenue within three to five years, Green Man Gaming was named as one of The Sunday Times Tech 100 "Ones to Watch" and is also a member of the Future Fifty; the 50 hottest high growth technology companies that the Government would like to encourage to IPO.
