Brick House games, an independent gaming company based in Portland, OR, will be releasing their full-featured RPG, Adonia: AotE, for Android and iOS. Adonia: AotE is an expansive fantasy world in which players are able to choose a hero class and companion monster to explore the terraformed world of Adonia. Fighting alongside their companion and other elemental monsters they free from slavery, they will explore over 50 regions and battle the Elementalists to restore their planet’s former peace and prosperity. In combat, the player's goal is to successfully complete combo attacks with their companion while disrupting the opponent and manipulating the battlefield with their hero. Companions are fully customizable with combat specializations in strength, agility, stamina, intellect, and spirit, to allow the player to tailor their team of battle monsters to their hero’s skillset and their personal strategy preference. In this regard, Adonia will be a highly strategic game and open to competitive online player-vs.-player team battles.

Adonia: AotE is the first game to incorporate MIGUS: a M inimal I nput G raphicless U ser-interface S ystem. MIGUS allows the player to use a wide variety of conventional RPG commands that typically require a GUI - like inventory, quest logs, and world interaction - with a graphicless tap-based UI engine. This new system allows programmers to develop a full-featured RPG for mobile phones using Android and iOS without an obtrusive GUI or false buttons that would otherwise block the limited vision of a smartphone's screen. MIGUS is integral to the production of this first expansive mobile RPG, as it extends the boundaries of mobile gaming beyond the casual games that currently populate the industry. With this project, Brick House Games will be proving that mobile gaming is ready to move into the realm of PC and console gaming with respect to strategy integration, graphics design, functionality, and expanse of the virtual world.
