Cut the Rope: Magic will feature Om Nom in a brand new adventure with magical twists to the series' popular physics-based puzzles. Designed to offer fresh, fun challenges to ZeptoLab's community of hundreds of millions of fans around the world as well as those new to the series, players of all ages are in for a sweet treat this holiday season.

One of the first mainstream mobile games when it was released in the early days of the App Store, the original Cut the Rope introduced the world to Om Nom, the candy-craving monster who has become the star of a globally popular multi-media franchise. Today Om Nom is one of mobile gaming's most recognizable characters, appearing in homes around the world through the popular mobile game series as well as apparel, toys, cartoons, and even a recently-revealed feature-length animated film coming to theaters at a date to be announced.

"In 2010, a player slid his finger to cut a rope for the first time, resulting in Om Nom's very first candy. The little green monster was so happy when another candy fell into his mouth -- and genuinely upset when it didn't. Soon after, Cut the Rope was everywhere.

"From the very beginning, it was difficult to 'hold' Om Nom on a small smartphone screen. Everyone was curious to know who he was, where he came from and what he did (other than eating candy). This is why we began enriching the plot by developing cartoons about his life and inserting them into the game. Today, we are making a feature film that will answer many of these original questions.

"For five years, we've continued to develop the Cut the Rope games by adding new elements, expanding the story and coming up with new features. Today we're happy to announce the fifth installment in the series -- Cut the Rope: Magic, coming this Christmas, as per our usual Cut the Rope tradition.

"Cut the Rope has fairly elaborate puzzles, but intuitive features and a top-notch game design made it popular on the mass market. Combining complex gameplay with easy controls and fascinating art-style has become our corporate identity.
