Let off some serious steam, whilst honing your sculpting skills, as you grapple with a series of fully realised power tools including drills, axes and chainsaws!

Liverpool-based games developer, Onteca, releases its latest VR toy, ‘Power Tools’, this October (2017.) The game allows you to step out of reality and straight into your own virtual workshop.

Power Tools is an immersive, room-scale VR experience that gives you the thrill of chopping, lopping, hacking, slicing and shaping a block, with a range of power tools in your very own workshop. How you tackle the task is up to you! Go for a full on, stress-busting blast of aggression or take a more considered approach by fine-tuning your sculpting prowess - you could sculpt a face, a tree, a car…or you could just drill!

Draw with Power Tools - the predecessor to the VR toy - enjoyed success as an Android game. It was the iOS number 1 title in Switzerland and in the top ten in 11 other countries.

Of Powertools’ UK release, Onteca’s Chief Executive, Jon Wetherall, said: “We’re really excited to be launching this product in the UK and think it has a natural audience here. When we designed the toy, we wanted to create something that offered some of the creative possibilities of products like Tiltbrush and MasterpieceVR but with more humour and excitement.”

Power Tools combines both adrenaline rush and artistic outlet. The crisp graphics (if you tire of drilling, you can gaze out of the window at the countryside) and fully responsive tools, make it an exciting and interactive experience.

Onteca is based in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle, at the heart of city’s growing tech quarter. The company produces phone apps, computer games and VR games.
