[This unedited press release is made available courtesy of Gamasutra and its partnership with notable game PR-related resource Games Press.]

December 7th - Lords Mobile is a 3D real time strategy MMO with RPG elements set in a chaotic fantasy world full of kingdoms battling to dominate the world. Developed by IGG, the notable mobile game creator of Castle Clash and Brave Trails, Lord Mobiles has accumulated over 80 million global players with their "one world/one server".

The game features large scale siege wars and RPG hero battles where players take on dungeons to gain skills and new equipment. Players have defeated countless monsters during their time with Lords Mobile, but now can make them theirs thanks to the Familiar Update. With all-new buildings and monsters, your armies will now have a bestial edge in upcoming battles.

The update has players blessed by the Goddess Athena, allowing them to forge pacts with the monsters they used to hunt for gold and make them into Familiars. If you want to forge these pacts, you will need Anima: a new resource specific to Familiars. Using Anima with normal resources will let you build Pacts and Skillstones. Once you open a Pact, you will randomly receive either a Familiar, a Rune, or Fragments. You will need a Spring to collect Anima, while you can only create Pacts and Skillstones with a Mystic Spire.

The Familiars you train aren't just for show. The destruction they can cause to an enemy army can be radical in the right hands. The fearsome Blackwing can destroy a percentage of a foe's higher-tiered troops, while the Queen Bee can decrease your enemy's attack and drain their health hour by hour. All of their power can be yours in-game if you prove yourself to be a mighty beastmaster.

“Lords Mobile is no ordinary war strategy game, but war... war never changes." said IGG Game's COO Kevin Xu. "We found inspiration in Fallout's famous tagline while brainstorming, and decided to shake things up by adding the Familiar system. With a Familiar’s unique skills by their side, players will have more options on the battlefield. We hope that all 80 million players who enjoy Lords Mobile will be blown away by our newest update!”

The Familiar Update is now available in Lords Mobile for free on the App Store and Google Play.
