Gulf Breeze, Florida - July 13, 2018 - Independent developer DarkStone Digital has announced its Sci-Fi horror puzzle game “The Subject” by releasing an Alpha footage teaser trailer along with the launch of the steam page for the game. Players will be able to download the game end of year 2018

Far in the future, prisoners are bought and sold as property; used for everything both legal and otherwise without any repercussions to the buyer. Companies have replaced volunteers with prisoner purchases for various drug trials, weapons exercises, and anything else that could cause legal action. You have been purchased for testing.

The subject is a puzzle-solving survival horror game in a sci-fi setting. With a visual influence from 80s sci-fi and a dark tone, the player is given various puzzles to solve while navigating the maze-like complex. However, something else shares the halls of the facility and it’s hunting. A layer of pressure and a feeling of terror always being just around the corner have been combined with the winding tunnels and massive puzzle rooms to give the player an experience that will keep them immersed. Solve the puzzles, escape death, and learn the purpose of the Kohate complex.

The Subject will launch on steam end of year 2018.
