Burning Man is a giant celebration held in the Nevada desert every year on the week before Labor Day. Attracting 70,000 participants, this communal festival offers groundbreaking artistic pursuits, cultural experimentation and gifting opportunities.
Now, a favorite art piece from Burning Man that has inspired thousands in the desert is coming to your smart phone. "Mission Me" is a unique lifestyle game app (https://missionmeapp.com/) that encourages players to fully engage with their wider world. No matter where anyone will be on this Labor Day—at the Burning Man celebrations, a local festival or even relaxing in your own living room, this innovative and creative questing app will be within a moment's reach. Grab your phone, download for free and you may change your life!
Dustin Quasar Sacks, the creator of Mission Me as well as other popular video games (http://sillysoft.net/), believes that this new app game will allow anyone, of any age or sex, to realize their creative and meaningful ambitions to inspire a better life. "My Burning Man experiences taught me about the power of participating fully in life. Our human existence is truly what we make of it," says Quasar Sacks. "There are so many potential adventures all around us, but we don't necessarily take advantage of these exciting opportunities."
The new Mission Me app contains more than 500 real-world quests, starting with easy solo missions like "Create a goofie selfie" or "Doodle yourself as a wizard." As you complete your missions, you level-up inside the game, to further unlock more involved adventures that could include friends, family, and even strangers. "Ask your mom to share a really long hug," or "Send a postcard to a past teacher." Perhaps you'll "Create a piece of art for a hospital patient" or even "Buy a hot chocolate for a stranger."
Quasar knows that it's easy for all ages to get stuck in ruts where there is little zest for life. To entice participation, and ramp up the fun, missions will be offered in a random choose-your-own adventure style, so you have some choice but you never know exactly what 'mission' you will be prompted to accomplish! "I want people to have the best possible experiences that life can offer," he says. "Everyone on the planet deserves this!"
The app is beautifully illustrated with art backgrounds created by the digital painter Mugwort (https://mugwortdesigns.com/) and the music features a soundtrack composed by the elemental band YAIMA (https://www.yaimamusic.com/).
Mission Me is now available as a free download at both the Apple App Store (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mission-me/id1290528489?mt=8) and the Google Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sillysoft.MissionMe).
