LOS ANGELES - December 13, 2018 - This holiday season, The Grinch is taking a detour from Who-ville to visit the dojo! Leading mobile entertainment studio, Jam City, in collaboration with Dr. Seuss Enterprises and White Space Entertainment, is hosting the return of beloved holiday grouch, The Grinch, to its hit bubble shooter, Panda Pop. After making his mobile debut in the game last year, The Grinch returns to Panda Pop this December, with a sled-full of new in-game events, activities and seasonal fun for players everywhere!

In Panda Pop, an evil baboon has kidnapped and trapped precious panda pups, which can be saved and returned to their worried mother by bursting like-colored bubbles. But this holiday season, The Grinch comes to Mama Panda’s dojo on a mission to muck up Christmas! Through January 2nd, the world of Panda Pop transforms into a winter, Who-ville wonderland, with special in-game events and theming, and appearances by The Grinch, his faithful dog-turned-reindeer Max, and of course, the adorable Cindy-Lou Who.

“Last holiday season, Panda Pop audiences adored the debut of The Grinch in their favorite mobile game. From the festive artwork, to Grinch-themed events, players loved seeing an icon of the holidays in the game,” said Vanessa Rouhani, Vice President of Publishing at Jam City. “After last year’s response, we’re thrilled to bring even more of the fun, humor and nostalgia of this beloved character to our millions of Panda Pop players, for this special season.”

Dr. Seuss is one of the most beloved children's book authors of all time having written and illustrated 45 children's books, including the holiday classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas! This cherished holiday tale, which has been brought to a TV special and stage, returns to film in 2018 with an animated re-imagining, The Grinch.

“The transformative story of this grouchy, holiday humbug, has been delighting audiences for over 60 years,” said Susan Brandt, President of Dr. Seuss. “By bringing The Grinch to Panda Pop, we’re connecting this classic holiday character with the massive mobile gaming audience, to be enjoyed by players and fans of all ages, all over the world.”

“Last year, The Grinch brought his own brand of ‘holiday cheer’ to players of Panda Pop,” said Stephanie Sperber, Founder & CEO of White Space Entertainment. “The event was such a success, it’s easy to imagine this event as a treasured holiday touchpoint, like watching the film or reading the book.”
