SEATTLE, Wash. – May 15, 2019 – Badges for PAX Dev 2019 (Aug. 27 – Aug. 28, 2019) and the GamesIndustry.biz Investment Summit (Aug. 28, 2019), taking place at The Westin Hotel in Seattle, are available for purchase starting today.

Founded in 2011, PAX Dev is a leading event for game industry professionals to hone their craft in a safe, comfortable environment. Free of press and consumers, the conference provides a nurturing space for game makers to connect with and learn from peers, discuss ongoing and emerging industry trends, as well as gain new skills.

PAX Dev features opportunities to interact with and hear from industry luminaries. Previous keynote speakers have included Deus Ex creator Warren Spector and former Hearthstone director Ben Brode. There will also be a myriad of workshops and panels spanning all disciplines and a variety of topics, including expert-led sessions delving into everything from prototyping projects to unionization.

Co-locating with PAX Dev for the first time, The GamesIndustry.biz Investment Summit will connect developers with publishers, platform holders, venture capitalists, and private investment firms. In addition to networking opportunities, the event will feature talks, a luncheon, and meetings designed to get video games funded and published.

PAX Dev ‘early bird’ badges are now on sale and available here, with two-day badges for industry professionals available for $350 and student badges available for $295.

GamesIndustry.biz Investment Summit badges for developers are available here for $180. Combination passes that include PAX Dev admission are also on sale for $480.

Those interested in speaking at PAX Dev 2019 can submit a panel here. Guest speakers will receive a complimentary badge for PAX Dev, as well as an attendee badge for admission to PAX West 2019, which occurs Aug. 30 – Sept. 2 at the Washington State Convention Center.

Connecting the world's leading game publishers with their most avid and influential fans, PAX expanded with a second show in Boston in 2010, and a third in San Antonio in 2015, making it the three largest gaming shows in North America. The first international PAX was held in Melbourne, Australia in 2013. In 2017, Penny Arcade established PAX Unplugged, its first tabletop focused show, held in Philadelphia.
