Drop Dead Dual Strike is a brand new VR experience launching with the Oculus Quest. It offers players melee weapons for the first time in Drop Dead and takes advantage of the Quest’s six degrees of freedom to create a more immersive experience.

Leamington Spa, UK, 16th of May 2019, - Pixel Toys are thrilled to announce Drop Dead Dual Strike, a brand new entry in the highly acclaimed and chart-topping Drop Dead series, which first released on Oculus Rift in 2016. Launching with the release of the Oculus Quest, Drop Dead Dual Strike will be both a launch title for the Quest and a free update for owners of Drop Dead on the Oculus Rift.

Set amidst a zombie apocalypse, you're the last agent alive able to stop Dr Monday and save the world! Slay zombie hordes using an arsenal of Z-shredding weapons, high-tech visor and sackful of insane gadgets. Team up with former CIA operative Billy-Bob and his daughter Celia-Jane as you delve deep into the true madness of Dr Monday’s nefarious schemes for world domination!

Drop Dead Dual Strike allows players to wield two weapons at once, one in each hand, for the first time in a Drop Dead title. Combine this with the addition of melee weapons, and you can cause chaos in a number of creative ways.

Drop Dead Dual Strike also takes advantage of the six degrees of freedom that the Quest supports, and allows players to dip, dive and dodge projectiles throughout the various game modes available. Players will also be able to bat back projectiles using the all-new melee weapons.

NEW FEATURES IN DUAL STRIKE

  • All new melee weapons, allowing you to get up close and personal with the zombie horde. Swing baseballs bats into zombies and send their heads flying for a home run! Swing scythes, hurl hand axes and pierce with pitchforks. The possibilities for mayhem are endless.

  • Dodge damage with the Oculus Quest’s six degrees of freedom. For the first time, you can duck below spitter slime and dodge to the side of rocket attacks.

  • Brand new horde mode map. Alongside the original horde mode arena, test your nerves in The Ultimate Showdown, the most challenging arena for you and a partner to take on yet.

  • Purchase Dual Strike on Quest, and you will also receive a copy on Oculus Rift, and vice versa.
