FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Players of mobile AR combat game Reality Clash can now buy and sell limited-edition weapons and earn real money via OpenSea, the world’s largest general marketplace for crypto collectibles.

Crypto collectibles are a fundamentally new type of digital good. Unlike traditional in-game DLC, which is ultimately owned and controlled by a game’s publisher, blockchain-enabled crypto collectibles can be traded directly between players for profit, independent of the game itself.

Demand for Reality Clash weapons has already been established, with players having bought nearly 6000 items, spending over a million Reality Clash Coins (RCC) on weapons since the game’s Armoury Store (https://realityclash.store) went live last year.

Traders on the Reality Clash Marketplace have engaged in user-to-user trading, with some rare crypto-skinned in-game items selling for over 20,000 RCC. One Bitcoin skinned item was sold for 25,000 RCC.

By partnering with OpenSea, publisher Reality Gaming Group is further extending Reality Clash into an addressable crypto collectibles market estimated at $950 billion1.

In addition, Reality Gaming Group’s crypto collectibles can work with other compatible blockchain-enabled games - in the future players will be able to port their items across or even loan and gift them to a friend, all of which presents significant new opportunities for in-game economies.

Reality Clash is set in an underground world of cryptocurrencies and hackers, integrating geo-location technology and the latest AR Kit and AR Core technology from Apple and Google, enabling players to compete in FPS battles to first claim - and then defend - their local area.

It has been highlighted by Blockchaingamer.biz as one of the 10 most anticipated blockchain games of 2019 and is available in the UK, Europe and Asia on Apple and Google app stores.

“We’re absolutely delighted to be partnering with OpenSea to enable more people to trade Reality Clash crypto collectibles,” said Reality Gaming Group Co-Founder Morten Rongaard. “The addressable market is huge and represents the future of DLC and in-game economies for video games developers and publishers – we’re excited to be among the pioneers in the space.”

“Reality Clash is at the intersection of two exciting futures for games – blockchain and AR – and it blends both with aplomb,” said Alex Atallah, Founder at OpenSea, who was previously of Palantir and Apple. “We’re excited to watch this community explode!”
