Ready to Change the Game: 4SIDE Plan to Revolutionise Distribution in Italian Entertainment Industry
MILAN, Italy – 21st August, 2019: 4SIDE is proud to announce its debut on the Italian market as an independent distributor focused on interactive entertainment. Born from an MBO of the management team which led Activision Blizzard’s former Italian subsidiary and a new partnership with the Esprinet group, 4SIDE has stepped onto the scene with the intention of setting a new standard by creating a unified one stop shop for all commercial and go to market requirements within the Italian entertainment industry.
With the goal of establishing itself as a leading commercial force, 4SIDE has announced that it has signed a four-year agreement for the management of Activision Blizzard's physical distribution in Italy. Having bought the local subsidiary, the previous Activision Blizzard management team are keeping structure, staff and location as it was and will continue to deliver high caliber services across the entire Activision Blizzard product line in Italy. Its next step will be looking to meet more potential partners at Gamescom 2019.
Developing exclusive partnerships with major video games publishers - and, indeed, following on from the extremely successful launches of Guitar Hero and Skylanders in Italy for Activision Blizzard - 4SIDE aims to become the most important and relevant distributor working within the Italian entertainment industry, setting out with the goal of both improving the performance and brand awareness of their client base.
The team at the helm of 4SIDE includes numerous industry experts who previously represented Activision Blizzard Italy in the region.
“Our newly formed team at 4SIDE has some impressive credentials to back up our ideals, with 10 years experience in the distribution business and 15 years experience as managers in a multinational company,” says 4SIDE’s General Manager Paolo Chisari, who formerly served as Activision Blizzard GM for Italy and EM. “With multiple achievements under our belt and our new Esprinet partners, we are confident that we are going to have a big impact on the industry and will redefine how distribution is done.”
Esprinet is currently the number one technology distributor in both Italy and Spain. The company will enjoy a 51 percent share in 4SIDE, helping consolidate its position in video games distribution through this joint venture.
