  Central & Eastern European Game Awards announce winners of 2019 – MORDHAU awarded for Best Game

Poznan, Poland, 21st of October: The Central & Eastern European Game Awards (CEEGA) announced their winners during a gala on Saturday 19th in Poznan, Poland. The first prize for Best Game 2019 is awarded to Triternion’s MORDHAU. In addition to China Choice, winners were awarded in 8 categories. CEEGA are held as part of GIC and Poznan Game Arena and is an appreciation of the growing game industry of Central and Eastern Europe, which inherits a leading market role.

This year’s Best Game award was won by Triternion and MORDHAU. The much-acclaimed title, set in a medieval setting, was able to assert itself against World of Warships: Lengends, Book of Demons and Green Hell. Poland’s leading studio CD Project Red won in the category Best Narrative with Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tale. The special China Choice award was given to Farm 51’s World War 3.

CEEGA is held during Poland’s game week alongside GIC and Poznan Game Arena on October 19th and stands out exemplary for CEE’s gaming industry cohesion. The Jury comprises 28 members from 14 countries, with two members being sent from each nation: one journalist and one industry professional. The region totals over 1000 game development studios and over 25.000 people producing games with many exciting success stories.

About Central & Eastern European Game Awards

CEEGA is an initiative to recognize and promote the best video games from this region. The CEE region is big and important and yet often underseen part of the global gaming industry. The region totals over 1000 game development studios, over 25000 people producing games and many interesting success stories. CEEGA was created as a cooperation project of the game industry organizations from the region. Organizations together appoint Jury, holding two members from each country, being a journalist and an industry professional. Central & Eastern European Game Awards winners are announced at a big gala hosted by Poznań Game Arena and the Game Industry Conference.


The GIC, along with Poznan Game Arena, forms the biggest game event east of Cologne. It features professional knowledge exchange, workshops, roundtables, a B2B exhibition area, MeetToMatch meetings, Geek Careers recruitment opportunities and nearly a dozen networking parties. Not to mention the Central Eastern Europe Game Awards ceremony, Epic Game Music concert and many more.
