Today marks day one of the 10th Annual Indie of the Year Awards. A celebration of the years greatest indie games as decided by the gaming community. Let the search begin!

December 1st, 2019 - The 10th Annual Indie of the Year Awards have officially kicked off. A voting booth has been added to all indie profiles on IndieDB, and for the next four weeks gamers will vote to determine the top 100 games of 2019 (announced December 11) and then the overall winner will be announced shortly after Christmas.

Last year the community voted 39,952 times, which ultimately resulted in the horror mystery Sally Face capturing many fans with its unique and intriguing story, claiming the players choice for 2018. Followed closely behind was the high octane combat racer Grip: Combat Racing, with the cyberpunk adventure game Neoncode taking 3rd place. They are joined by previous iconic winners including Minecraft and Chivalry.

From now until the close of 2019, join in the fun and help us to celebrate the highly creative and unique nature of indie games that now play such a big part in the overall games industry! For more information on the event including a live scoreboard and how to vote head over to the official awards page.
