18-20 November 2020, Rome

PRESS RELEASE: Gamerome – Italia´s biggest Game Industry Conference and B2B Event confirms its dates for the 2020 edition, after carefully considering COVID19 developments

After Consultations with Local and European Institutions and Industry Advisors, the Leading Game Industry Conference Event in Italy confirms its original plans for November 18-20, 2020.

The fifth edition of Gamerome – Italians biggest Game Industry Conference Event - will open its doors on Wednesday, 18th of November, kickstarting a three-day high-profile international conference & business networking event that will take place in the capital of Italy, Rome, from 18 to 20 November. Gamerome will be flanked by business conference, summits, workshops and networking events.

Consisting of a classic conference component at a top international level, as well as summits, master classes, workshops and networking events, Gamerome represents a clear further development: in terms of content, Gamerome is closely interlocked within the Italian games industry and integrated into other activities in Rome.

“Gamerome has proved to be the place to be for investors, developers and decision makers. A global attitude and a focus on diversity makes Gamerome a one of a kind event. We believe it is crucial to spread ground-breaking ideas able to sustain the never-ending cycle of innovation that is at the heart of the gaming industry” said the Event Director Micaela Romanini.

"We are convinced that we are offering an international developer conference at the top level with gamerome, and thus added value for our visitors. As a result of the conceptual and content relationship with many players from the international games industry, we create synergies and strengthen Gamerome in its position as South Europe's leading business platform of the games industry," added the CEO of ibMedia Group and Co-Organizer of Gamerome, Frank Sliwka.

Gamerome is organized by ibMedia Group - a Global Management Consulting Company and an Advisor on Business Strategies - and VIGAMUS Foundation, a body recognized by the Italian Government who operates in many areas of the games industry, with its assets VIGAMUS - The Video Game Museum of Rome and VIGAMUS Academy, the Educational Department on Games.
