Hamburg, Germany, June 16th 2020 – Alter Games and Daedalic Entertainment are thrilled to announce their partnership to bring Partisans 1941, a stealth tactics game set on the Eastern Front during its occupation in WWII. Releasing later this year on Steam, the game puts you in command of a group of guerilla fighters behind the front lines in a dramatic chapter of European history. A demo version of Partisans 1941 is available for free during the Steam Summer Game Festival from June 16th to 22nd.

Partisans 1941 combines stealth tactics with squad-based action, base-management and resource management. Escape from a Nazi prison camp and become the leader of a group of Soviet partisans made up of soldiers and civilians. You can recruit unique allies, tackle a variety of missions with them – from focused sabotage to extensive attacks on German supply lines – and expand your guerilla camp. To successfully fight the occupying forces, it is important to scout your environments, find the best position to ambush your enemies and control the flow of the fight by effectively using the tactical pause.

Features:

  • Fresh approach to the stealth tactics genre: A mix of combat, stealth, ambushes and a variety of special items brings chaos to the enemy ranks. Choose your own way of completing each mission.

  • Lead a squad of Partisans: Find, recruit and level up new resistance members to build your squad choice. Use your characters’ strengths to find the right solution to different situations. Find and recruit new resistance members.

  • Experience the life of a resistance group: Witness a partisan’s routine - from developing your base to preparing for your next assignments, ensuring you have enough resources to survive and motivating your team. Explore nearby regions, skirmish for enemy weak spots and opportunities to strike at the enemy.

  • A different perspective on WW II: Experience the story of fierce resistance against the German occupation on the Eastern Front. Follow the stories and motives of various people who join the partisan forces – from soldiers to common folk.

Partisans 1941 is being developed by Russian studio Alter Games and is published by German studio Daedalic Entertainment. The Steam release is planned for later this year.

From June 16th to 22nd, a demo version of the game is available on Steam for free.
