Kraków Technology Park, the organiser of Digital Dragons 2021, is pleased to announce the finalists of the next week’s Indie Celebration – an international competition that is a great opportunity for independent developers to present their games to a selected audience of industry peers, veterans and experts, and to win prestigious awards. The event is supported by co-organizers from Reboot – Adria Games Initiative and DevGAMM.

This year game developers from 50 countries submitted over 250 games. The contest jury after testing each of them decided to pick 60 finalists which will be presented to a wider audience on Steam on May 13-14 during the special Indie Celebration festival. Most of the games will have playable demos so the players will have the opportunity to check the newest indie productions from all over the world before choosing the best game for the Community Vote Award.

Digital Dragons Indie Celebration – Complete list of finalists

Among 60 selected games we can find such productions as the post-apocalyptic adventure game Paradise Lost by PolyAmorous, psychological horror Lust from Beyond by Movie Games, isometric brawler Midnight Fight Express by Jacob Dzwinel, card battler The Amazing American Circus by Klabater and Juggler Games, lumberpunk city-building game Timberborn by Mechanistry, co-op Lumberhill by 2BIGo, turn-based strategy Inkulinati by Yaza Games or medival open world survival RPG Medieval Dynasty by Render Cube.

The prizes are provided by AMD, a leader in high-performing computing, graphics and visualization technologies, that has been working with Digital Dragons for several years on events supporting indie game developers.

AMD is pleased to once again partner with Digital Dragons to celebrate independent game development. Together, we strengthen the indie gaming community and celebrate their passion,” said Chris Kilburn, corporate vice president and general manager, client component business unit, AMD. “We are happy to present four winners with AMD Ryzen™ 5000 Desktop Processors – the ultimate high-performance processors for gaming.

At the same time Digital Dragons will also run a free business-focused event dedicated to game developers, VC funds, and publishers – Digital Dragons Business Meet Up. The key element of this event is a matchmaking platform for networking. Game developers and investors, publishers and distributors are able to arrange direct business meetings. The goal is to support the game industry in these challenging times, and provide them with as many business opportunities as possible. The event will be hosted on PINE: a comprehensive online event and matchmaking platform. Participants will be able to arrange 30-minute-long 1-on-1 meetings.

Digital Dragons Business Meet Up – Matchmaking Platform

In 2021 Digital Dragons is split into three independent events. The first two – Digital Dragons Business Meet Up and Indie Celebration – are scheduled for 13–14 May as online events, while the main Digital Dragons Conference is planned for 7–8 September.
