FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Perth, Australia — July 27, 2021 — God of Riffs, the rhythmic heavy metal slasher from publisher VYERSOFT and developer Boss Music Games, headbangs and bangs heads on Steam Early Access today with support for HTC Vive, Valve Index, and Oculus Rift Headsets including Oculus Rift, Rift S, and Quest.

The gods of metal demand the corpses of demons, skeletons, and other hellspawn. Give them what they want—take up twin battle axes and cut down the armies of the dead to the rhythm of four original over-the-top tracks. Bash skulls as wailing guitar solos and thunderous drumlines fill the soundscape in environments inspired by ‘80s-’90s heavy metal aesthetics.

Simply bopping along to the beat alone shan’t impress the gods. Every swing through fiendish flesh earns points based on accuracy and ferocity. Shred strings and faces with each quick and deadly strike, climbing the stairway to leaderboard heaven.

While the ascent for metal godhood demands mastery, two difficulty settings available at launch and several accessibility options encourage even the rhythmically-disinclined to play. Practice the basics, crank the difficulty to 11, or simply come for the demon-slaying—God of Riffs aims to make anyone feel like a flame-spitting, fury-wielding, all-powerful slayer. An original campaign mode, boss battles like frost giants and towering trolls, and indie metal tracks from across the globe will light the way to 1.0 release.

“Steam Early Access is just a taste of what’s to come for God of Riffs,” said Mathew Palumbo, Company Director at Boss Music Games. “Our focus right now is making sure anyone can pick up the axes and feel like a god, no matter their skill level. We’ve got more songs and features lined up for 1.0, and Early Access is a chance for us to hear from players and make sure we’re honoring the legacy of metal with every slash.”

God of Riffs is available now on Steam Early Access with support for HTC Vive, Valve Index, and Oculus Rift Headsets for $4.99. For more information, please visit the official website and Facebook page. Follow Vyersoft on Twitter, Boss Music Games on Twitter and Instagram.

About Boss Music Games
Boss Music Games is a group of crazy blokes that had the totally reasonable idea of starting an indie dev studio. Straight out of school...with limited funds...during a pandemic...from a city no one has heard of (Perth, by the way!). But through the power of persistence and the spirit of metal, they plan to rock the world with their VR projects.
