Title: Kotodama Diary

Genre: Pet-raising simulation

Price: Free (includes in-app purchases)

Kotodama Diary is a game about feeding words to the kotodummies, weird and surreal creatures, to make them evolve in a variety of unexpected ways.

You can relax and play the game at your own pace, focusing on playing with the kotodummies, trying to collect as many varieties as you can, creating your ideal room, visiting other players, and more.

As they grow and evolve, the kotodummies will tell you all kinds of things. Sometimes they will make you smile, sometimes they will make you blush, sometimes they will move you with their kindness, sometimes they will tease you, and sometimes they’ll just leave you scratching your head. All of this depends on what words you decide to feed them.

<About the Developer>

“Achabox”, the designer, after participating in an indie game event as helping staff, decided that she wanted to create her own game. During a game jam in May 2018 held in Kyoto, she met “Kohei” (programmer) and “Fujino Kiri” (writer), and the three created the “Ske6" team. During this jam, they created a prototype for “Kotodama Diary”, which gained a lot of attention on “Unity room”. All three of them worked as employees or freelancers during the day, working on the game during the night. Then, in May 2019, they released Kotodama Diary to the public in Japan, achieving the coveted App-Store featured, and finally in December 2020, they made it downloadable all over the world with an English localization tailored to an international audience.
