Mark Sheppard's Blog

Mark is a veteran of the IT industry with more than 17 years experience in software production (predominantly in business administration and project management). Mark entered the games development space in 2009, though, when he founded Membraine Studios with Josh and Glenn as a part-time business to develop "Orbital Defence" for the iPhone 3G.

Mark and his Membraine teammates spent the next three years, still part-time, spending all their spare time on a process of rapid-prototyping as they searched for gaming gold.

More than 20 prototype games later, the team stumbled upon gold when—finally managing to rework an old game design from 2009 into something workable—they created the prototype for a 3D turn-based strategy game. This prototype would later merge with the Exodus Wars IP from Steel Crown Productions to become "Exodus Wars: Fractured Empire", a recently announced turn-based strategy game for PC and Mac (for which a crowd funding campaign is currently running).

Mark is 38 and lives with his three wonderful kids, his gorgeous wife (who for some reason puts up with his gaming addiction), two dogs, two rabbits and Buddy the Budgie.
