How to Develop Games Using AR/VR Technology?

With the introduction of user-friendly technology such as AR /VR trends and predictions, every aspect of life does become easy. With these technologies, our life becomes faster, and we start moving at a rapid speed. 

 

Both AR /VR trends and predictions have bought a huge revolution into the gaming world, which was earlier considered an impossible task. The gaming industry has been growing rapidly, and it is all thanks to the advancement of technology. 

 

The growth of the gaming industry is predominated by the smartphone industry, who end up spending a maximum of their time on phone playing games and the smarter technologies have just increased this number.

 

Here is how one can develop games using AR/VR Technology:

 

An Immersive Storyline

 

For the game to attract more crowds, it must end up having a valid storyline. When the play gets immersed into the game's storyline, they must understand the virtual world properly, which means they should understand the following.

 

 - What the world is all about

 - Who are good and the bad players in it

 - What are their main values

 - What is to be done to achieve the points.

 

 In simple words, the player should have utmost clarity about why they are here and what exactly they are expected to do. The story of the game is very important as it sets the basis for the whole game. 

 

 For example, if the game gets designed as a first-aid tool, then the game's story must be set around a team that is on duty to save the victims. On the other hand, in a team management game, the team can be placed in a fictitious and challenging place.

 

 Hence, the bottom line is that the storyline should be crystal clear.

 

 Game Mechanics 

 

 Game mechanics mainly means the rules of the game. For instance, game mechanics prevent the players from going to the next level without passing the previous ones. This is how the player gets to master the skills and get their hands on the game properly. Players also get prepared in a better way for the higher level, which are far more complex. 

 

In the case of AR and VR development, the game mechanics get enhanced with some notions which are unprecedented and different gesture possibilities. Interaction with the controllers of the game and the elements through the natural gestures does give proper flexibility. It also adds to the overall responsiveness to the immersive nature of both VR and AR technologies. 

 

Memorable Characters

 

The characters of the games are very much part of the storyline, hence they should organically be able to blend with the story. Game developers should try and come up with characters that are complete in the process of design, role, appearance, past, personal traits etc. A complete profile helps the players to sync in with their characters and also to understand their tasks and challenges in a much better way. 


 

 Virtual Stimulation

 

The ultimate format of VR games is virtual stimulation. Just by placing all the players in virtual reality and creating a real-world situation, stimulators can create an environment that is full of learning and fun. 

 

A simulator game, which gets built for the hi-end headset of VR, including that of supportive hardware such as controllers and motion sensors, properly immerses the players into a scenario that properly trains them subconsciously. 

 

Multiple VR stimulators add a sense of competition and even teamwork, which urges the players to plan different strategies and assist one another. Such formats are very knowingly used in VR simulators to create mainly police or military, depending on the teamwork. 

 

 Immediate Feedback 

 

In the case of games, the feedback process is pretty quick. You will immediately know whether the mark has been hit or completely missed, as there is nothing at all in the middle. Also, when the game is built in a manner that properly supports the multiplayer format, the instructor could provide proper in-depth feedback and evaluate the achievements right then and there. 

 

The advanced AR and VR games can be played along with multiple users at the same time limit. Hence, there is no problem for such games to receive constructive feedback. 


 

Parting Thoughts

 

Even if the games prepared today using AR & VR are designed for single players, they still have the provision to provide feedback while playing the game. For instance, in the case of a VR game that is based on learning a language, they can immediately see whether they have used the correct phrase or not.  

 

Hence, today with the whole advancement of technology, virtual reality and augmented reality has grown rapidly and entered widely into the gaming industry. Due to AR /VR trends and predictions, games have become really exciting.
