Video game and entertainment software retailer GameStop has announced that it has reached an agreement to purchase New Zealandís independent video game chain stores, The Gamesman. The transaction is expected to close in mid-July, 2008.
GameStop will absorb all of The Gamesmanís eight locations, expanding its presence in New Zealand to a total of 38 stores. Headquartered in Grapevine, Texas, GameStop currently operates 5,453 stores in 16 countries worldwide.
