Today's round-up includes news of Oblivion sales breaking records, new downloadable content for Project Gotham Racing 3, and a PSP version of Gun, as well as the latest posts from GameSetWatch, product news and Gamasutra job postings.

- Take-Two Software and Bethesda Softworks' recently released The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was one of the most anticipated titles of 2006 prior to its March 20, 2006 release. Since then, Oblivion has gone on to become the fastest selling game released on the Xbox 360. In addition, market research firm NPD Group reported Oblivion for the PC was the best selling PC game for March, while the Oblivion Collectors Edition is ranked number 2. NPD reports that Oblivion represented approximately 13% of all PC game sales in the first week of its release, more than four times the sales volume of the next best selling title. "We are very encouraged by the worldwide consumer demand for Oblivion," stated Paul Eibeler, Take-Two's President and Chief Executive Officer. "The development team at Bethesda promised and delivered the first true next generation role playing game experience."

- Microsoft and Bizarre Creations' popular Xbox 360 racing title, Project Gotham Racing 3, will receive new Xbox Live downloadable content in the form of a Speed Pack. Costing 400 Microsoft Points and set to be released on April 17, the new content will include twelve new cars, including the Mitsubishi FQ 400, Aston Martin AMV8 Vantage, and Chevrolet Corvette Z06. In addition, free content, including one free car and access to upcoming tournaments, will be released.

- Activision will release a version of their 2005 Old West action title, Gun, for the PSP this fall. Gun Showdown will consists of a port of the original game, with added features such as new side missions, quick-play modes, multiplayer modes and gameplay features unique to the PSP. Gun was met with mixed reviews when it was originally released, with the chief complaint leveled against it being its shorter than expected length.

- The latest updates on Gamasutra sister weblog GameSetWatch include an interview with industry mogul Henk Rogers, a look at Stealball, a sexy look at soccer, an online PlayStation museum, a look at the somewhat surreal Vib Ribbon, the continuing Gizmondo drama, Koei's latest and largely ignored PlayStation 2 release, a new freeware shmup, and Dave "Shmorky" Kelly's The Multicart Project.

- Also updated today: product news, featuring the DAZ|Studio SDK, as well as the latest Gamasutra job postings, featuring openings from Blizzard Entertainment, Cranky Pants Games, DreamCatcher Games, Electronic Arts Tiburon, Factor 5, Flagship Studios, IGN Entertainment, LucasArts, and Powerhead Games.
