Nintendo's Mario Party DS
has enjoyed a strong second week at the top of the Japanese sales charts, with 116,000 units sold, edging ever closer to the lifetime-to-date total for Super Mario Galaxy
- which sold around 40,000 units in its third week.
The highest new entry of the week is Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles
at number two, with 83,000 units sold - including sales for the exclusive Japanese bundled version of the game with the new Wii Zapper peripheral.
Dynasty Warriors 6
on PlayStation 3 held on for a strong second week at number three, with 76,000 units sold. As a result the game held off a trio of new Namco Bandai releases, with baseball simulator Famista DS
at number four with 49,000 units sold.
Also new for Namco Bandai is TV show tie-in Game Center CX
at number five, with 46,000 units sold and anime tie-in Armored Trooper VOTOMS
at number ten with just 12,000 units sold. The latter is a victim of a sharp drop in sales at the bottom half of the top ten, with the other new release of the week - Sony's Heavenly Sword
at number seven - recording only 15,000 units sold.
