Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in an exclusively compiled list.

This week's worldwide release lineup brings X-Men Origins: Wolverine and a Wii remake of Klonoa stateside, as Made in Ore and Persona debut in Japan.

The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending May 2nd, 2009.

Games Released in the United States:

Nintendo Wii:
- Burger Island
- Fantasy Aquarium World
- Klonoa
- Tournament Pool
- X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Xbox 360:
- Velvet Assassin
- X-Men Origins: Wolverine

The upcoming film tie-in title X-Men Origins: Wolverine is set to debut across all consoles, portables, and PC platforms in North America this week. SouthPeak Games' tactical first-person shooter Velvet Assassin joins Wolverine on the PC and Xbox 360, while Wii owners will soon see a remake of Namco's classic platformer Klonoa.

Atlus headlines portable offerings this week with its localization of the mecha-focused strategy RPG Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier, as PSP owners get the Dynasty Warriors series spinoff title Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce.

The Nintendo Wii hosts a notable oddity in this week's UK lineup -- Case Closed: Truth Prevails, a region-exclusive localization of Marvelous' manga-based adventure title Meitantei Conan: Tsuioku no Gensou. The week's offerings otherwise largely consist of licensed fare, with Rhythm Paradise (Rhythm Heaven) and Marbles! Balance Challenge (Marble Saga: Kororinpa) serving as highlights.
