Game development software company TransGaming today announced a monthly subscription game bundle for its GameTree TV platform, an on-demand gaming platform for French consumers that can be used directly through existing set-top boxes.
GameTree TV was launched
earlier this year with 25 titles at release, including Bejeweled, Plants Vs Zombies
and World of Goo
Users can choose to pay a small fee to rent a game for a single day or a week, or pay full price for unlimited plays.
The new GameTree TV GamePass, launching on December 1, will provide subscribers with a bundle of 12 games for a monthly rate of 4.99 euros.
The 12 games available will change on a monthly basis, and TransGaming suggests that this service will help drive greater adoption of the whole GameTree TV initiative.
Blake Lewin, president at TransGaming, said, "GameTree TV's new monthly subscription service, GamePass, delivers incredible value to our consumers, who now have more ways than ever to access our great game titles."
"Our approach is to provide our consumers with flexible transaction options to enjoy the broad selection of world-class content we are delivering through our best-in-class user experience."
Cloud gaming service OnLive provides a similar service to GameTree TV, and launched in the United Kingdom
earlier this year. However, it is not yet available in other regions of Europe.
