Newsbrief: Network engine maker Exit Games has officially announced its new cross-platform network engine, aimed at developers who are looking to add online multiplayer features more easily into their games.

The Photon Cloud is a hosted network engine for multiplayer games that requires no server setup or server maintenance to run, as everything is handled by Exit Games. It also works across multiple platforms, including Unity, iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Mac, Flash and HTML5.

Exit Games has been building up the service's userbase for the last four months, and already has over 4,500 developers using Photon Cloud. Free trials are available to developers who are intrigued and want to try it out.
