Lego Batman 2 tops UK charts despite multiple new releases

July 2, 2012 | By Mike Rose

Despite a barrage of new releases last week, Traveller's Tales' Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes managed to keep hold of the top spot in the UK sales charts for the second consecutive week.

For the week ended June 30, and according to data from tracking firm Chart-Track, Lego Batman 2 saw a 17 percent drop in sales week-over-week, but still held off Activision's The Amazing Spider-Man, which settled for second place in its opening weekend.

The next few places also held new releases, as Spec Ops: The Line and London 2012: The Official Video Game launched at positions three and four respectively.

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection was also a new release, launching on PS Vita last week -- it managed number 10 in its opening weekend.

The usual suspects were pushed down by this injection of new titles, with FIFA 12, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim continuing to sit comfortably in the top 10.

Below are Chart-Track's all-platforms sales charts, which include unit sales of all versions of a given title, and the individual platform charts, which treat individual SKUs separately.
