VRDC adds Fallout 4 VR, DOOM VFR demos in HTC VIVE Pavilion

September 15, 2017 | By Emma Kidwell

Good news, VR enthusiasts: HTC VIVE will showcase Fallout 4 VR and Doom VFR playable demos at VRDC Fall 2017 next week, September 21-22 in San Francisco as part of its exhibit area.

The HTC VIVE Partner Pavilion is a newly confirmed part of the event which will be showing off the VR arcade platform manager Viveport Arcade and horror action game HordeZ, in addition to its partnership with Bethesda/id Software to showcase Fallout 4 VR and DOOM VFR.

Book your ticket now to attend VRDC Fall 2017 and visit the HTC VIVE Partner Pavilion, meet top tier AR and VR creators, and attend 50 sessions led by AR and VR experts covering games & entertainment, brand experiences, and innovative use cases across industries.

Ahead of their release, the VRDC booth is one of the few public places you can try a playable demo of both Fallout 4 VR and DOOM VFRFallout 4 VR includes the complete core game with all-new combat, crafting, and building systems fully reimagined for virtual reality. The fast-paced AND brutal gameplay of DOOM transfers over seamlessly to virtual reality with the HTC VIVE in DOOM VFR. VR offers the opportunity to lay waste to an army of demonic foes from an entirely new perspective.

The husband and wife team behind HordeZ, Niklas Persson and Marie Goldberg, will also be at HTC VIVE’s pavilion to present the 4-player co-op VR experience that places you in the shoes of survivors tasked with eliminating onslaughts of zombies and demons. The experience features physical guns with haptic feedback tracked in VR.

The Pavilion is also showcasing Viveport Arcade, which connects developers with operators for location-based distribution of VR content. The Viveport Arcade Manager (VAM) is a software platform for managing multiple demo bays with one admin machine and is easy to install and maintain. With access to over 600 games (and growing), it’s the largest platform of commercially licensed content.

Don’t miss out! Head over to the VRDC website now and register to attend the conference, which will feature a plethora of great VR/AR talks spanning games, entertainment, and beyond into subjects such as healthcare, journalism, travel, manufacturing, retail, live events, real estate, training, and so much more.
