Saturnine Games announces the upcoming European release of Antipole on the Nintendo DSiWare™ service on December 29, 2011. Antipole will be available in the Nintendo DSi™ Shop (available on the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL™ systems) for 500 Nintendo DSi Points™ as well as in the Nintendo eShop (available on the Nintendo 3DS™ system) for €5.00.

Antipole is a fast paced, action packed side scrolling adventure equipping players with the power to alter the world around them by reversing gravity. Players take on the role of Johnny Hurricane as they use his gravity powers to leap incredible distances, run on the ceiling, solve puzzles, and even to vanquish his enemies.

In addition to the main adventure, Antipole features a variety of additional challenges, including multiple difficulty levels, unlockable Challenge Levels for expert gamers, speed run challenges, and Awards for completing in game challenges. Antipole also features a bonus mode for owners of the previous Saturnine Games release, Cosmos X2. Players with both games can play through the adventure using the weapons from Cosmos X2.

Press Quotes

Nintendo Life:

“With its twist on platformer gameplay and ridiculous amount of content, Antipole would make a great addition to anyone’s [Nintendo] DSiWare collection, especially fans of the genre looking for something new.”

“It’s fun, challenging and bears an attractive price; this is one game that shouldn’t be passed up.”

Nintendo World Report:

“Antipole is a surprisingly deep, content-heavy game that’s a steal for $5.”

“Antipole is a very fun, imaginative platformer with lots of content and a great premise. [Nintendo] DSi and [Nintendo] 3DS owners would be silly to pass it up.”

“It's a lot of fun just to play around with, and paired with Johnny's quick-firing pulse gun and the constant timer on the screen, the pace always feel[s] electric.”

Gamers Daily News:

“With competent platforming mechanics, a reasonable stage variety, and Antipole just being good fun in a classical style, it’s pretty easy to recommend for purchase.”

Nintendo Power:

“It's a fantastic play mechanic that can be used in numerous clever ways, such as sending missiles back at enemies and leading foes to their doom. Combined with genre staples like moving platforms and switch puzzles, you get a very compelling and fun game.”
