LOS ANGELES, CA- February 15, 2013- Leading mobile games publisher and developer, GAMEVIL®, announced its 2012 fourth quarter results today. GAMEVIL reported record highs across sales, operating profit, and net profit earned in 2012, marking their best year to date.

During the 2012 fiscal year, GAMEVIL recorded 70.2 billion KRW ($65.0 million) in sales, 24.1 billion KRW ($22.3 million) in operating profit, and 22.4 billion KRW ($20.7 million) in net profits, reflecting growths of 64%, 38%, and 39% respectively, from 2011.

Fourth quarter results also bested the past year, with 21.8 billion KRW ($20.1  million) in sales, 6.6 billion KRW ($6.1 million) in operating income, and 6.5 billion KRW ($6.0 million) in net income. This marks growths of 32%, 4%, and 12% respectively over 2011 fourth quarter numbers.

While domestic sales showed a steady growth of 34%, international sales increased tremendously with a growth of 153%, resulting in 27.4 billion KRW ($25.4 million) in sales. With this, international profits as a whole has increased from 25% of the total sales in 2011 to 39% in 2012.

The quarter's achievement can be attributed to focused efforts in third party publishing. Along with successful in-house titles such as ZENONIA®, Baseball Superstars®, Fishing Superstars and Kingdom Royale, third party titles including Punch Hero, Monster Warlord, and Cartoon Wars helped solidify the quarter's performance. Whereas third party titles accounted for only 23% of the total revenue the previous year, in 2012 it accounted for 44%.

GAMEVIL's Chief Financial Officer, Yong Kuk Lee, stated, “With strong foundations in a worldwide userbase and strategies for the ever changing mobile game market, we are directing out efforts to continue  being a major global player in this mobile gaming industry.”

GAMEVIL projects a 42% increase to 100 billion KRW ($92.6 million) in sales for 2013. With more than 50 games on deck to be released this year and a constantly expanding worldwide userbase, GAMEVIL is poised to continue its status as the global leader in mobile game developing and publishing.
