Keen Software’s sandbox space game to be first game in YouTube sensations’ YogDiscovery program

July 11, 2014: Yogscast, home of the UK’s most-watched YouTube channels, today announced a partnership with Keen Software for their voxel-based sandbox game, Space Engineers.

The partnership will see the Yogscast broadcast a series of videos on their channels, including YOGSCAST Lewis & Simon, which has 7m subscribers, in July and create Yogscast-branded items for the game to be available on Steam Workshop.

This marks the first step in the company’s new ‘YogDiscovery’ program, which introduces Yognau(gh)ts - fans of the Yogscast - to great new games while giving developers a chance to reach a big and engaged audience of gamers.

Yogscast will take a small share of the sales revenue during July as part of the deal. Keen Software will have no editorial influence on any content broadcast on Yogscast channels.

Yogscast CEO Mark Turpin said: “We’re really excited to be working with Keen Software on Space Engineers. YogDiscovery is all about finding the best new games that we love and putting them in front of our audience who we think will love them too.”

“The sandbox, voxel nature of the title makes it the perfect fit for our content creators and audience. We’ve also taken advantage of Space Engineers tools and community sharing to make our in-game environment available for all to enjoy.”

“By having an interest in the game we’re able to dedicate the additional time and resources necessary to bring the game to life for our fans.”
