San Bernardino, CA - A small, independent video game development studio in the midst of a Kickstarter campaign for their flagship project, Selatria. Founded in 2012, Whim Independent Studios is an independent development company by Grover Wimberly IV, Matthew Estrada, and Paul Vela after encountering the ever-present catch-22 of being unable to get a job without experience, yet no job willing to hire to give experience.

Selatria is an independently produced role-playing game for Windows that has been in development for the past three years by Whim Independent Studios. It features a vast world to explore, an in-depth battle system, as well as an epic original soundtrack. "We created a place where new developers could hone their skills and where artists, musicians, and voice actors can showcase their talents," says Founder and Director/Producer Grover Wimberly IV, "all the while gaining invaluable experience."

Developed in mostly their spare time with little to no financial compensation, Whim Independent Studios has placed Selatria on Kickstarter to seek funding for their project. The link to their Kickstarter campaign is:

They have also offered their Chapter 1 Demo for free, the link is on their website:

"We have gathered a team of talented artists, musicians, developers, and voice actors," says Wimberly, "and we feel we have created a high-quality gaming experience. We want to share this with everyone. Any support would be greatly appreciated."
