HELSINKI – Aug. 25, 2016 – Futureplay Games – creators of hit “view-to-play” mobile games like  Farm Away! and  Build Away! – announced today the completion of a US $2.5 million financing round from London Venture Partners, DN Capital, Sunstone and Creandum. This fresh infusion of assets will allow Futureplay to accelerate its ongoing growth by expanding its team size and production capacity while continuing to develop accessible games and ad-boosted monetization strategy.

“We staked our name early on the idea that mobile players respond with greater levels of engagement to ad-driven products that reward their time and energy, and we’re seeing that vision play out in the market now,” said Jami Laes, CEO of Futureplay Games. “We invite players in with casual gameplay experiences and keep them engaged with a consistently fast and rewarding sense of progression fueled by intelligent ad integrations.”

As of mid-August 2016, Futureplay’s games have over 2 million monthly active users, with over 150 million ads served. Advertising-driven mobile games have exploded recently, and Futureplay continues to believe that in this rapidly evolving landscape, short, polished gameplay sessions combined with thoughtful, reward-driven ads will increasingly define the next wave in mobile.

About Futureplay Games

Based in Finland, Futureplay Games was founded in 2015 by a team of professionals with over 60 years of total experience in the gaming industry from such companies as Electronic Arts, Rovio Entertainment, Remedy Entertainment, Boomlagoon and Reaktor. The studio coined the term "view-to-play" as one of the first companies to focus on rewarded video content. Its first game,  Farm Away!, was an immediate hit when it first launched in fall 2015. The follow-up,  Build Away!, arrived in June 2016 and quickly outpaced  Farm Away!  in terms of both downloads and monetization.
