Arena of Ares is a Mage combat eSport with RPG-like crafting, spells and character customization. It is being developed by Prodigy Games, a division of Prodigy Ventures (TSXV:PGV). Arena of Ares is currently on Kickstarter. Initial reception of the game by the Reddit gaming community has been very strong, with the trailer reaching the front page of r/gaming.

- Destructible environment: few eSports feature destructible environments due to the complexity it adds to development. This is a core component of AoA.
- Physics-based spells: in AoA's physics-based spell system, every ability is physically simulated.
- No preset classes: Taking a hint from the RPG genre, AoA does not have "heroes" or "champions". This is unprecedented customization for a competitive multiplayer game: you choose your own five spells, two elementals, and obelisk, from thousands of options. In total, over 100 quadrillion Mage builds are possible.
- Designed to be an eSport: AoA is designed from the ground up to foster creative and competitive play. Prodigy Games will be funding tournaments and supporting the eSport scene.
